SEO Specialist

[ Part-time ]

We are hiring a part-time, remote SEO Specialist to help improve organic visibility, strengthen on-page optimization, and support ongoing SEO efforts across client websites.

This role is ideal for someone who has strong experience with on-page SEO, a solid understanding of technical SEO, and the ability to help websites rank higher through strategic content, keyword optimization, site improvements, and best practices.

The SEO Specialist will work closely with our internal team to review client websites, identify opportunities for improvement, optimize existing pages, assist with new content recommendations, and help ensure websites are structured in a way that supports long-term organic growth.

Key Skills:

Experience working with WordPress websites is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform on-page SEO updates across client websites, with a focus on improving rankings, relevance, and user experience.
Optimize website pages for target keywords, including headings, title tags, meta descriptions, internal links, image alt text, page structure, and content layout.
Review existing website content and identify opportunities to improve keyword targeting, clarity, search intent, and conversion value.
Assist with keyword research and help identify opportunities for new pages, blog posts, service pages, and location-based content.
Make SEO updates directly within WordPress websites.
Support technical SEO improvements, including site speed, mobile usability, indexing, crawlability, redirects, broken links, duplicate content, and general site health.
Review websites for technical issues that may impact rankings or user experience.
Collaborate with writers, designers, developers, and account managers to ensure SEO recommendations are properly implemented.
Help develop SEO strategies that support each client’s goals, industry, location, and competitive landscape.
Monitor SEO performance and assist with reporting on keyword rankings, organic traffic, and website improvements.
Stay up to date with SEO best practices, Google algorithm changes, and industry trends.
Help maintain consistent SEO processes across client accounts.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong experience with on-page SEO.
Experience working directly inside WordPress websites.
Understanding of technical SEO best practices.
Ability to optimize title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal links, image alt text, and page content.
Experience with keyword research and search intent analysis.
Ability to review website content and recommend improvements for rankings and conversions.
Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, BrightLocal, or similar platforms.
Understanding of local SEO is preferred, especially for service-based businesses.
Ability to identify and help resolve common technical SEO issues.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client websites.
Comfortable working remotely and communicating with an internal team.
Basic understanding of website structure, user experience, and conversion-focused content.
Agency experience is a plus, but not required.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working inside WordPress websites. They should have a strong understanding of how on-page SEO impacts rankings and be able to make strategic recommendations that improve both search visibility and website quality.

This person should understand that SEO is more than adding keywords to a page. It requires strong page structure, helpful content, technical awareness, internal linking, local SEO considerations, and an understanding of what users are actually searching for.

They should be comfortable reviewing websites, identifying SEO opportunities, making updates, and communicating what needs to be improved in a clear and organized way.
