Video Editor

We are hiring a Video Editor to help create short-form video content for our agency’s clients.

This role can be remote and is open to candidates located anywhere in the world. The main focus of this position is editing reels, short-form videos, and social media content using footage captured by our internal team.

The Video Editor will work closely with our creative and social media team to turn raw footage into polished, engaging content that fits each client’s brand, platform, and content strategy. This person should understand how to edit for attention, pacing, storytelling, and social media performance.

This role is ideal for someone who has experience editing short-form content for platforms like Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and other social media channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit short-form video content for client social media accounts, including reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and other vertical video formats.
Turn raw footage captured by our team into polished, engaging videos.
Edit videos with strong pacing, clean transitions, captions, music, sound design, and visual flow.
Follow each client’s brand style, tone, and creative direction.
Create videos that are optimized for social media engagement, retention, and platform best practices.
Add text overlays, subtitles, graphics, logos, calls to action, and other branded elements as needed.
Work with the social media and creative team to understand the goal of each video.
Review footage and identify the strongest clips, moments, angles, and storylines.
Make revisions based on team or client feedback.
Organize video files, project files, and exports in a clear and consistent way.
Meet deadlines and manage multiple client projects at once.
Stay up to date with short-form video trends, editing styles, audio trends, and platform best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

Experience editing short-form video content for social media.
Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
Proficiency with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar tools.
Ability to edit vertical video content with strong pacing and attention to detail.
Experience adding captions, text overlays, music, sound effects, transitions, and branded elements.
Strong sense of storytelling and ability to find the best moments within raw footage.
Ability to follow brand guidelines and creative direction.
Comfortable receiving feedback and making revisions.
Strong organization skills for managing footage, project files, and exports.
Ability to work remotely and communicate clearly with the team.
Basic understanding of social media trends and what makes short-form content engaging.
Agency, brand, or client-based editing experience is a plus.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and understands how to edit videos specifically for social media.

They should be able to take footage from our team and turn it into content that feels polished, engaging, and aligned with the client’s brand. This person should have a strong eye for pacing, storytelling, text placement, music selection, and overall video flow.

They should also be comfortable working remotely, communicating with our internal team, and handling multiple video projects for different clients.
