Social Media & Creative Director

[ Part-time/Full-time ]

We are hiring a Social Media & Creative Director to help lead the creative direction, strategy, and execution of social media content for our agency’s clients. This role can be structured as either part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate’s experience, availability, and fit within our team.

As the Social Media & Creative Director, you will be responsible for strategically managing client social media accounts, developing content strategies that align with each client’s brand, and ensuring all published content feels intentional, consistent, and engaging.

This person will act as both a social media strategist and brand-minded creative lead, helping guide the direction of social media graphics, captions, campaigns, reels, ad creative, and other digital content. You will work closely with our internal team to communicate client needs, organize content priorities, and ensure requests are completed accurately and on time.

You will also serve as a point of contact for select clients, helping build strong relationships, understand their goals, and translate their vision into creative strategies that support their brand and marketing objectives.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with business branding and what it takes to build a brand
  • Experience in construction, marine and hunting industries are a HUGE PLUS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop unique social media strategies for each client based on their brand, audience, goals, and industry.
  • Manage and oversee client social media accounts across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others as needed.
  • Plan content calendars, campaign ideas, post themes, and creative direction.
  • Assist Digital Ads team with strategic deliverables for campaigns
  • Ensure all content aligns with each client’s brand voice, visual identity, and overall marketing strategy.
  • Write or oversee social media captions, post copy, and campaign messaging.
  • Provide creative direction for graphics, reels, ad creatives, and other social media assets.
  • Collaborate with designers, copywriters, account managers, and other team members to execute content.
  • Communicate client requests clearly to the internal team and help ensure follow-through.
  • Serve as a client-facing contact for social media strategy, content planning, and creative updates.
  • Review content before publishing to ensure quality, accuracy, and brand alignment.
  • Monitor social media performance and use insights to improve future content strategies.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends, platform updates, creative formats, and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience managing social media accounts for businesses, brands, or clients.
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy, brand voice, and creative direction.
  • Ability to write strong captions, campaign messaging, and social media copy.
  • Experience creating graphics, editing reels and visual content for social media.
  • Fluent with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools.
  • Ability to schedule and publish content across major social media platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple clients at once.
  • Comfortable communicating with clients and participating in monthly meetings.
  • Strong eye for design, layout, photography, video, and brand consistency.
  • Ability to collaborate with designers, writers, videographers, and account managers.
  • Comfortable giving and receiving creative feedback.
  • Experience with social media reporting, insights, and performance analysis is a plus.

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, strategic, and confident managing both the big-picture direction and day-to-day execution of social media.

They should understand that effective social media is more than simply posting content. It requires brand awareness, strong writing, visual consistency, client communication, and the ability to create content that feels intentional and engaging.

This person should be comfortable balancing multiple client accounts, working with different brand voices, managing deadlines, and taking ownership of the creative quality of the work being published.

As this role grows, the ideal candidate will also have the ability to help lead the social media department, improve internal processes, and support future team members.
